Job Summary
Assist the Site Coordinator in developing and leading daily lesson plans while actively engaging with children in the classroom. Prepare materials for daily activities, maintain records of attendance, and supervise children throughout the day. Assist with daily parent communication and conduct parent-teacher conferences as needed. Efficiently communicate with the classroom teaching team to ensure smooth operations. Work between 7:00 AM–10:00 AM and/or 3:00 PM–6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, in a part-time capacity.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or CDA PREFERRED, or proof of current enrollment in CDA or college level degree program required
- three to six months childcare related experience
- or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred
- Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles
- Ability and desire to work with and care for infants, toddler, and preschool children
- Blood Borne Pathogen training
- CPR Certification required within the first 60 days
- First Aid Certification required within the first 60 days
- State of Michigan criminal background clearance (ICHAT)
- Fingerprinting
- DHS clearance
- available to work between 7:00 AM–10:00 AM and/or 3:00 PM–6:00 PM
- availability for any combination of days between Monday through Friday
