Job Summary
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with learning foundations and children's interests while creating enriched, intentional, and supportive learning environments. Facilitate age-appropriate activities that support children's social and emotional development, ensuring constant supervision in a safe, healthy, and nurturing setting. Build authentic, culturally responsive relationships with children, families, and team members through effective collaboration to deliver high-quality programs. Conduct visual safety inspections, implement preventative measures, and report health or safety concerns while adhering to all safety standards. Supervise off-site activities and field trips as required, maintaining a positive workplace culture through respectful interactions with children and youth.
Required Qualifications
- 12–24 semester units (or equivalent quarter units) in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field with passing grades of C- or better, OR Associate Teacher Permit or higher issued by the appropriate credentialing authority
- 6–12 months of experience in a group care or classroom setting with a consistent age group
- Strong skills in classroom management, communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution
- Effective organization, time management, and curriculum documentation abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a professional team environment
- Adult and infant/child CPR & First Aid certification
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
