Job Summary
Preschool Aide assists Preschool Teachers in implementing an individualized, developmentally appropriate early education program in a Head Start / Early Head Start setting. Responsibilities include supporting classroom activities, assisting children (including those with disabilities), maintaining a clean, safe learning environment, helping with curricula development and documentation, conducting developmental screenings, and advocating for children and families to access comprehensive services. The role contributes to a positive, culturally respectful learning atmosphere and supports professional development opportunities for staff and families.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Experience working with children in a preschool or day care setting (Preferred)
- Criminal background check/background checks (upon hire and periodically)
- National Sex Offender Registry Check (upon hire and periodically)
- Pre-employment physical examination and TB test (upon hire and as requested)
