Presales Technical Consultant / Solution Architect (CDP Focus)

Job Summary
Lead in-depth discovery sessions with prospective clients to understand business goals, data challenges, and technical requirements. Translate complex needs into functional CDP use cases and design customized solution architectures covering customer data flow, identity resolution, and omnichannel orchestration. Prepare tailored product demonstrations and articulate high-level business value to diverse audiences, including C-level executives and engineering teams. Own the entire presales project lifecycle, managing multiple client engagements while leading RFIs, RFPs, and Proof of Concept projects. Ensure seamless handovers to delivery teams and partner with Product and Engineering to share technical insights.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- 6+ years of progressive presales experience, including experience architecting complex solutions
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with CDP and/or MarTech platforms—encompassing data engineering, data modeling, and/or cloud data warehousing
- Deep understanding of customer data architecture, data modeling, and data governance
- Familiarity with API integrations, webhooks, and modern data stack components
- Understanding of identity resolution and customer data management principles
- Proven experience in project management during the presales phase, including the complete cycle from requirements capture and solution design to delivery
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
- Familiarity with RFP/RFI/RFQ response processes and bid management
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to drive deal strategy through compelling storytelling
- Confident in influencing and engaging with senior stakeholders, including C-level executives
- Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with CDP platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric or Databricks)
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and compliance frameworks
- Experience working in an overlay or specialist presales capacity
- MBA or advanced technical degree
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Databricks or equivalent)
