Job Summary
Presales System Engineer to provide pre-sales technical support for complex networking solutions focused on campus, data center, mobility, and security. Responsibilities include creating and documenting technology solutions and proposals to meet customer requirements, defining technological roadmaps for assigned clients, implementing and supporting Proof-of-Concept engagements, understanding competitive offerings, engaging with internal/external experts to shape solutions, contributing to deal proposals and closures, and collaborating with partners to expand channel-driven opportunities. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in technology/engineering (or significant experience), 4+ years in networking/pre-sales, hands-on experience across routing, switching, wireless, security, SASE/SD-WAN, data center, and related platforms, networking certifications, and strong communication skills to articulate business value.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in technology/engineering or related field OR significant networking experience
- Minimum 4+ years of technical professional, pre-sales, or related experience
- Extensive experience in networking including routing, switching, wireless, security, SASE/SD-WAN, data center, and network management platforms (on premises and cloud)
- Specific networking certifications (HPE, Aruba, Juniper, Cisco, etc.)
- Experience with Network Access Security technologies (e.g., ClearPass, ISE)
- Ability to create solution offerings spanning multiple product/service portfolios
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Ability to lead in a team environment and tailor solutions for clients
