Job Summary
The Presales Security Expert role involves developing and executing joint strategies with sales and partners, collaborating with various teams to create market offerings, and serving as the primary technical contact for partners. The candidate will enhance knowledge of Fortinet products, manage multiple deals, accurately record customer activities in CRM, and facilitate technical webinars and training. Key qualifications include 5-8 years of experience in technical/pre-sales support, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and proficiency in various networking protocols and technologies. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
Required Qualifications
- 5 – 8+ years’ experience in technical/pre-sales support as a pre-sales or security expert
- Ability to think outside of the box and self-motivate to drive sales
- Experience in a pre-sales engineer role, managing end to end technical aspects of deals, through to technical closure
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills impacting key wins
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships and effectively communicate technically to stakeholders
- Public speaking experience
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Experience responding to RFPs
- Experience explaining technology topologies via whiteboarding, Visio and other methods
- Strong understanding of technologies and protocols including TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, HTTP, SMTP, and others
