Job Summary
Presales Engineer to serve as a technical advisor for liquid-cooled Cold Plates (SmartPlates) and Cooling Distribution Units (CDUs), bridging thermal and mechanical engineering depth with customer communication. Lead technical discovery conversations to understand customer thermal requirements for AI systems; act as the primary technical interface in customer engagements; support sales engagements including RFP/RFQ responses; gather customer requirements for Engineering to develop the solution; partner with Engineering to understand and communicate the liquid cooling solution; evaluate AI system-level integration across cold plates, manifolds, CDUs, and rack-level cooling; develop and deliver technical presentations highlighting differentiation; present thermal analyses in a customer-friendly format; read the room and adjust technical depth based on audience feedback.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years of industry experience in pre-sales, engineering, or customer-facing technical roles
- Experience with fluid-based mechanical designs
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Exposure to CFD analysis tools (preferred: ANSYS, Icepak, FloTHERM)
