Presales Engineer - Cyber Security

Job Summary
Presales Engineer – Cyber Security in Australia responsible for engaging prospective customers, articulating CT’s cyber security solutions, and winning new business. Meets with customers to understand security posture and requirements, demonstrates CT’s solutions with both technical and business value, acts as a trusted technical advisor, partners with the sales team to develop opportunities, leads technical responses to RFP/RFQ/tenders, maps solutions to customer requirements and evaluation criteria (e.g. Essential 8, ISO 27001, NIST), collaborates with bid teams and SMEs to deliver cohesive responses, translates customer requirements into tailored cyber security solutions, supports transition from presales to delivery, stays current on cyber security trends, and identifies process improvements. Must have strong understanding of cybersecurity products (endpoint/EDR/XDR, SIEM, firewalls, IAM, email and web security, vulnerability management, cloud security, SASE/Zero Trust, MDR/SOC), be able to translate requirements into deliverable security solutions, be familiar with security frameworks, and have relevant certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Australian citizenship due to security clearances
- Experience responding to RFPs, RFQs, and tenders
- Presales or solution consulting or technical sales experience
- Strong understanding of cyber security products and solutions (endpoint/EDR/XDR, SIEM, firewalls, IAM, email and web security, vulnerability management, cloud security, SASE/Zero Trust, MDR/SOC)
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (Essential 8, ISO 27001, NIST)
- Certifications highly regarded (e.g. CISSP, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, Fortinet)
