Prepress Operator

Prepress Operator responsible for preparing and verifying customer files for offset and digital printing, ensuring proper size, resolution, bleeds, overprints, font handling, color breaks, and lay-out considerations; maintaining quality control throughout prepress, reading work instructions, and ensuring artwork reproduces to customer expectations. Collaborates with Sales/Account Management, communicates status to internal customers, processes files for production, and conducts proofs (hard and PDF) before release to manufacturing. Proficient in Mac OS software and Adobe Creative Suite; may operate CTP plate making equipment and perform department maintenance. Requires attention to safety, meeting productivity/quality standards, and the ability to work overtime as needed. Strong detail orientation, color management, and knowledge of dye sublimation processes are essential.
