Prepared Foods Team Leader Assistant

Provide leadership to Prepared Foods Team Members through coaching and mentoring, including supervising team members in the absence of the Prepared Foods Team Leader/Manager. Responsibilities include controlling operating expenses and achieving budgeted food and labor costs, writing schedules, enforcing company policies, and promoting in-store ads, sampling, and special events. Maintain food quality, food safety, and sanitation; organize storage, labeling, dating, cross-contamination and temperature controls; prepare food (cooking, frying, grilling) and set up Gourmet/Grab & Go displays. Analyze Customer Satisfaction and Mystery Shopper reports to identify improvements; develop team members and identify candidates for Management Development Program. Ensure procedures meet out-of-stock goals; collaborate with leadership to coach team members; maintain records for audits. Build relationships with customers and execute merchandising initiatives to grow the business. Knowledge/skills include food safety, sanitation, P&L/LOB awareness, scheduling, inventory, and strong customer service. This role is with Giant Eagle in the Seven Fields, PA location and is described as a full-time leadership position focused on department management, team development, and daily operational excellence.
