Job Summary
Prepared Foods Clerk in a full-service retail grocery store. Responsibilities include providing outstanding customer service in a retail and counter-service environment, interacting with customers and team members, preparing and stocking items across all departments, and demonstrating product knowledge. Tasks may involve cashiering, bagging, carry out assistance, stocking dry goods, and handling meat/seafood; requires frequent movement in walk-in coolers and freezers. Schedule may include opening, mid-shift, and closing, with weekend and holiday shifts. Starting wage is $14/hr; experience in grocery, convenience, food service, or retail and strong attendance are valued.
Required Qualifications
- Verifiable work experience with excellent tenure and attendance
- Kitchen experience preferred
- Grocery store, convenience, food service, or retail experience
- Demonstrated retail customer service skills
- Familiarity with organic and natural foods
- Attention to detail and ability to efficiently perform assigned tasks
- Ability to read and speak English and perform basic arithmetic
