Job Summary
Prepare and cook quality deli and bakery food items as directed by the Department Manager. Provide courteous, prompt service to increase customer confidence and loyalty while maintaining consistent operating conditions and a friendly atmosphere. Operate kitchen equipment including chicken fryers, stoves, rotisseries, slicers, and ordering systems. Handle up to 150 lbs. of food and equipment, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying. Work varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays in a retail grocery location with exposure to heat, cold, and wet conditions. Maintain a safe environment by following all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols regarding hazardous equipment and cleaning solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
- Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
- Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
- Must be able to lift 100 Lbs.
- Must be able to push 100 Lbs.
- Must be able to pull 150 Lbs.
- Must be able to climb 10 Ft.
- Must be able to stoop.
- Must be able to kneel.
- Must be able to crouch.
- Must be able to handle.
- Must be able to finger.
- Must be able to feel.
- Must be able to reach Waist/overhead.
- Must be able to talk.
