Job Summary
Prepare and cook quality deli/bakery food items as directed by the Department Manager, using equipment such as chicken fryers, stoves, rotisseries, slicers, and freezers. Maintain consistent operating conditions and a friendly atmosphere to increase customer confidence and loyalty through courteous, prompt service. Handle up to 150 lbs of food and equipment while standing, walking, and performing repetitive movements in a retail grocery location with varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work inside and outside in varying temperatures and handle hazardous cleaning solutions and sharp objects.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
- Ability to understand and follow English instructions
- Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
- Must be available for Varied Day, Evenings, Weekends, Holidays schedules
- Must be able to work Inside, Outside, Cold, Heat, Wet/Humid conditions
- Must be able to handle Hazardous Equipment
- Must be able to handle Contact with sharp objects
- Must be able to handle Contact with Skin Irritants
- Must be able to handle Toxic Exposure
- Must be able to handle Hazardous cleaning solutions
- Must be able to handle Slippery floor surface
- Must be able to handle Cluttered floor surface
- Must be able to handle Twisting of back and Neck
- Must be able to work with Loud Noise
