Job Summary
Wash, peel, chop, slice, and grate fruits and vegetables; measure and assemble ingredients for menu items including salads, entrees, and sauces. Perform preliminary cooking duties such as making pickles, sauces, slicing cheese, and preparing fresh juices and vegetables. Ensure all food and items are stored properly while complying with nutrition and sanitation guidelines. Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and managing trash. Assist with stock and inventory management and collaborate with the rest of the kitchen staff. Work unsupervised in a busy environment, maintaining flexibility for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Prior customer service experience
- A true "people person" providing exceptional and gracious service
- Experience working with a Point of Sale system
- Ability to work quickly and independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Competency in counting money and processing payments
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently even in a stressful situation
- A genuine commitment to excellence and success
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Proven experience as a prep cook or in a similar role preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
