Job Summary
The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing cooking ingredients, sauces, parboiling food, and simple dishes. Duties include preparing hot and cold food, managing prep sheets, ensuring timely preparation, maintaining food freshness, operating kitchen machinery, and assisting chefs during service. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of kitchen operations, knife skills, and food safety protocols. A high school diploma, valid driver's license, and compliance with state work card requirements are preferred, along with at least one year of related experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma preferred
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Valid Driver’s License
- 18+ years of age
- Possession of or the ability to possess all state required work cards
- Minimum of one (1) years related experience
- Advanced knife skills
- Proper food storage knowledge
- Proper lifting techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively and assertively in English
