Job Summary
Prep Cook role supporting Pelican's kitchen operations with a focus on food preparation, cleanliness, and safety. Responsibilities include maintaining prep areas and kitchen line, following proper food handling and FIFO procedures, assisting other kitchen staff, providing guests with information about Pelican menu items, and upholding the Pelican customer service standard. Must have one year of kitchen/restaurant experience preferred, possess an Oregon Food Handler’s card, and be capable of standing for the shift while lifting heavy items and maintaining high food-safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- One year kitchen restaurant experience preferred
- Oregon Food Handler’s card required
- Understanding of safe food handling
- Physical ability to be on foot for the duration of the shift and ability to lift heavy items
