Job Summary
Prep Cook (Part-Time) at Stone Brewing Co. in Escondido, CA — prepare and portion ingredients (meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, breads, sauces, stocks), follow recipes and prep standards for quality and food safety, maintain labeling/dating/storage (FIFO), support line cooks and kitchen teams, assist with event prep and seasonal menu execution, complete opening/closing prep duties, keep workstation sanitary, communicate equipment/food quality issues, and participate in team meetings with a collaborative, high-volume brewery kitchen culture. Requires 1–2+ years kitchen/kitchen-support experience, strong attention to detail and organization, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a valid San Diego County Food Handler Card (or ability to obtain). Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs; reliable transportation and flexible availability (including weekends and holidays). Tip-eligible position with opportunities for growth and hands-on experience.
Required Qualifications
- 1–2+ years experience in a prep cook, kitchen assistant, or food service role (high-volume restaurant experience preferred)
- San Diego County, California Food Handler Card (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability (including weekends and holidays)
