Job Summary
Prep Cook responsible for preparing and/or cooking food following company specifications; sets up stations, follows recipes and plating guidelines, and ensures food safety and HACCP compliance. Maintains inventory, proper dating/labeling, and safe storage of products; keeps stations clean, restocks, and assists with cross-training to support guest satisfaction. Requires 6 months to 1 year minimum prep/line cook experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant and knowledge of cooking techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Six months to one year minimum as a prep/line cook in a full-service, high volume restaurant
- knowledge of cooking techniques utilized in the prep/line scope
- ability to follow established recipes and plating guidelines
- maintain HACCP documentation and procedures
- maintain organization and cleanliness of kitchen areas
- ability to set up and maintain kitchen stations
- ability to work with knives and food preparation equipment safely
