Job Summary
Prep Cook at Corporate Chefs in Columbia, SC (UNUM dining location) with a Monday–Friday schedule. Responsibilities include quality and portion control, food preparation, creative food presentation, maintaining the kitchen, proper food storage, and following safe food handling policies and recipes in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Must have at least one year of culinary experience, strong knowledge of culinary methods, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and customer service experience. Nice-to-have: food handlers’ certification. Compensation is $17-$18 per hour with weekly pay and full benefits.
Required Qualifications
- At least one years’ prior culinary experience in a quality and high-volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
- Working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks in fast-paced environment
- Ability to use various kitchen equipment and tools as well as identify and differentiate food items
- Customer service experience is required
