Job Summary
Prep Cook collaborates with the Youth Food Program Manager to meet daily operational goals, communicates effectively with BYC staff, volunteers, and participants, executes the daily prep list, follows standardized recipes to ensure consistent food quality, sets up and maintains service stations, cleans and sanitizes kitchen and utensils per City of Chicago health guidelines, stocks deliveries and organizes storage to maintain cleanliness and inventory rotation, maintains HACCP records for cooking, holding, and cooling temperatures per health code, and performs related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or equivalent required
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking, required
