Job Summary
Prep Cook duties include following the kitchen prep list, labeling and stocking ingredients, storing food properly, sanitizing areas and equipment, measuring seasonings and ingredients, portioning and wrapping, washing and chopping produce, cleaning meat/fish/poultry, cooking tasks, preparing beverages, distributing dishes to servers, maintaining inventory records, and notifying managers about stock or equipment issues. Requires background as a prep cook, availability for early shifts, manual dexterity, strong English communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The employer emphasizes SALT scores, cost controls, and profitability, with a focus on outstanding guest service and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Culinary Arts or 5 years' work experience in a fine dining setting
- Must have prior Food and Beverage PREP COOK experience with high volume restaurant or banquet facility
- Must understand menu design, food and beverage costs, labor costs and “other” F&B cost structure
- Foremost, must be able to provide Award-Winning Service by exceeding brand standards be evidence of SALT scores
- Ability to analyze, interpret and act upon statistical information and data on a daily basis
- Ability to work under pressure to achieve Service and F&B sales budgets/targets
