Job Summary
Prepare all food items according to prep sheets and standardized recipes while regularly cleaning and sanitizing the work area. Cook, plate, garnish, and expedite food for service, storing products properly to minimize waste and maintain accurate inventory levels. Maintain communication with front of house staff to ensure timely guest service and assist with training newer employees on processes and procedures. Work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with shifts starting as early as 7 AM and ending as late as 10 PM. This role supports the culinary team at Hershey Social Restaurant and Bar, featuring bold flavors and signature cocktails inspired by Hershey's chocolate roots.
Required Qualifications
- 16 years of age or older on the date of applying
- Must be certified or be able to pass a ServSafe class
- Average to above knife skills
- Ability to follow and troubleshoot recipes/menu items with little or no difficulty
- Ability to efficiently set up and maintain workstation
- Ability to demonstrate the outlet style of cuisine through food tasting and preparation
- Ability to assist Chef with maintaining accurate inventory levels
- Ability to handle average amounts of prep work and work 2-3 stations with little or no difficulty and minimal assistance
- Ability to work with position, supportive attitude, skill, speed and cleanliness
- Physical requirements include the ability to stand for up to eight hours at a time

- Physical requirements include the ability to push, pull, and reach above shoulder level

- Employee must provide proper footwear (black non-skid/non-slip sneakers)
