Job Summary
Complete opening and closing checklists, prep meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other items for cooking using standard recipe cards and portion sizes. Maintain a clean, sanitary work station and kitchen area, rotating perishables and covering all food containers per inventory SOPs. Report equipment and food quality issues to the chef on duty, answer instructions from executive or sous chef, and return unused food to designated storage areas. Work full-time AM shifts from 6am-2pm on Saturdays through Wednesdays at the Hilton Garden Inn Denver Union Station, earning $21-22/hr.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent experience
- Minimum one-year food service or related work
- Ability to work as a team member
- Ability to communicate with kitchen staff
- Moderate hearing
- Excellent vision
- Moderate comprehension and literacy
- Full range of mobility
- Ability to travel 30-50 feet on a regular basis throughout the day
- Continuous standing
- Periodic climbing
- Ability to lift food cases and metros weighing up to 70 lbs
- Ability to push and pull carts
- Regular bending to lift items and supplies
- Periodic kneeling
- Availability Sat-Weds, 6am-2pm
- Full-time availability
