Job Summary
The Prep Cook is responsible for washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and undertaking basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces and parboiling food. This role includes preparing simple dishes, measuring ingredients according to recipes, and maintaining a clean kitchen by washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces. The Prep Cook keeps track of ingredient quantities, informs superiors of low stock, and supervises food temperature in the kitchen. A food handler certificate is required, and the position offers a flexible schedule including late shifts, weekends, or holidays.
