Job Summary
Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other items for cooking using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment according to the Daily Prep List and standard Recipe Card. Maintain standard portion sizes, follow cooking methods and quality standards, keep a clean and sanitary workstation, and report equipment or product shortages to the Kitchen Manager. Attend meetings, contribute improvement ideas, and act as a brand ambassador. Start at $16/hour with benefits and opportunities for growth; 18+ and US work eligibility required.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years full-service restaurant kitchen experience preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Culinary degree preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
- Must have reliable transportation to/from work
- Must possess strong understanding of cooking methods & procedures, and knife handling skills
- Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
- Ability to read & follow cooking directions and other instructions pertaining to the position
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Basic written & verbal communication skills
- Must be organized with a self-starter & motivated work ethic
- Must be a team player
- Must be able to stand, bend, stretch, lift, and carry heavy materials up to 50lbs
