Job Summary
Prepare and cook a variety of food items (meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces, stocks, breads) using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment according to the Daily Prep List. Follow standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and recipe specifications; maintain clean, sanitary work station; ensure quality and consistency; report equipment/food quality problems to Kitchen Manager; uphold brand standards; participate in meetings and contribute ideas for improvement. Role requires 1-3 years of kitchen experience (HS diploma required, culinary degree preferred), ability to work in fast-paced environment, and readiness to stand and lift up to 50 lbs; benefits and growth opportunities available.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Culinary degree preferred
- 1-3 years full-service restaurant kitchen experience preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
- Must have reliable transportation to/from work
- Must possess strong understanding of cooking methods & procedures, and knife handling skills
- Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
- Ability to read & follow cooking directions and other instructions pertaining to the position
- Must be organized with a self-starter & motivated work ethic
- Must be a team player
- Must be able to stand, bend, stretch, lift, and carry heavy materials up to 50lbs
