Job Summary
Prep Cook at Crooked Hammock Brewery prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other items for cooking using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment. The role follows the Daily Prep List, adheres to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications, maintains a clean and sanitary workstation, completes opening/closing checklists, reports equipment and product quality issues, and supports Kitchen Manager with inventory and food quality. Requires 1-3 years of kitchen experience (preferred), HS diploma or equivalent, 18+ years old, reliable transportation, strong knife and cooking-method skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Compensation starts at $16.50/hour with benefits and growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years full-service restaurant kitchen experience preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Culinary degree preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
- Must have reliable transportation to/from work
- Must possess strong understanding of cooking methods & procedures, and knife handling skills
- Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
- Must be organized with a self-starter & motivated work ethic
- Must be a team player
- Must be able to stand, bend, stretch, lift, and carry heavy materials up to 50lbs
