Job Summary
Prep Cook responsible for washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning vegetables and proteins to recipe specs; follow food safety standards including temperature logging; stock and rotate stations before service; assist with receiving deliveries; keep prep areas clean; support line cooks and communicate clearly with the kitchen team. Flexible scheduling available with both full-time and part-time options; includes paid training and opportunities for advancement. Must have food handler certification and be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Familiarity with knife skills and basic cooking techniques preferred; team-oriented mindset and reliability are valued.
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of kitchen experience preferred (restaurant, catering, or institutional)
- Solid knife skills and comfort with basic cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety practices
- Food handler certification required
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
