Job Summary
The Prep Cook role supports the food and beverage department by preparing ingredients, parboiling and setting out chef ingredients, washing dishes, and assisting with buffet-line preparation under the direction of the Sous Chef. Responsibilities include keeping the kitchen clean, ensuring ingredients are stocked, handling deliveries, following safety and regulatory guidelines (including Virginia Racing Commission licensing where applicable), and supporting compliance with laws and internal policies. Must possess basic culinary knowledge, be able to stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds; valid Virginia Driver’s License and Virginia Racing Commission License required.
