Job Summary
The PreOp/PACU/PAT RN is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care during the pre-admission, pre-operative, and post-anesthesia care phases. Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, preparing patients for surgery, managing recovery, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. The role requires collaboration with surgical teams, adherence to infection control protocols, and effective multitasking in high-stress situations. Candidates must possess strong problem-solving abilities, high-level communication skills, and demonstrate competency in assessments, IV starts, and medication administration.
Required Qualifications
- Current unencumbered Florida RN Licensure
- Mandatory BLS and ACLS (PALS if required), or obtained within 90 days of hire
- Strong clinical skills and surgical experience
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in perioperative, critical care, or PACU settings preferred.
