Job Summary
Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of prenatal, infant, and toddler education services in compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and state regulations. Provide leadership, coaching, and training to education staff while monitoring program quality across center-based, home-based, and family child care settings through observations and data review. Collaborate with families, community partners, and internal specialists to deliver culturally responsive services, manage program budgets and grants, and facilitate program reviews and committee work. Review child outcomes and records to assess effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development, or a closely related field
- Three years of teaching experience with pregnant women and infants/toddlers (0-3)
- One year supervisory, administrative or training/monitoring experience in an ECE/CD program
- Experience must include knowledge of infant/toddler activities, literature and other program contents appropriate for bilingual/multicultural education
- Must have completed six semester units in Infant/Toddler Development
- Must show proof of successful completion of PITC (Programs for Infant/Toddler Caregivers) training within eighteen months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Fluency in two or more languages, including one that supports the needs of the program and community is preferred, but not required
