Job Summary
Serve guests in suites, club spaces, and event areas by reading orders, setting up food service areas, and ensuring all necessary serving ware is available. Monitor food quality, temperature, and replenishment levels while supervising beverage service and verifying guest IDs for alcohol purchases. Assist with breakdowns, including disposing of waste and returning equipment, while maintaining a safe, clean environment. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, runners, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and handle guest concerns or special requests courteously.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years' experience working in a food & beverage or customer service role
- Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Possess a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
- Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects often
- Ability to work on a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- You must be punctual with consistent attendance
