Job Summary
Set up suites, clubs, and buffet stations, including décor, and run food to concessions. Serve and clear food and beverage quietly, professionally, and quickly while responding to guest needs. Carry equipment, clean up at the event's conclusion, and perform basic cleaning tasks as directed. Maintain proper dining experiences and adhere to grooming standards. This seasonal, part-time role supports premium hospitality areas at Duke University's athletic events, often moving across stadium grounds. Competitive pay starts at $18/hr with daily meal benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Live within or near Durham, NC.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Knowledge of upscale/VIP service styles preferred
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client's needs.
- The ability to work alone and as a team.
- The ability to learn and adapt quickly.
- Prolonged periods of being in one place, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue.
- Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting up-to 30+ pounds.
- Adherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook, uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines.
