Job Summary
Premium Insurance Field Auditor (Contractor) travels to on-site audits in the Fort Myers area to collect financial data, conducts remote audit interviews when appropriate, analyzes complex financial records to ensure accurate premium calculations, and prepares detailed audit reports. Builds and maintains professional relationships with clients while working independently as a 1099 contractor. Requires residence in or near Fort Myers or Sarasota County, FL; travel to assigned sites; strong data-analysis and communication skills; proficiency with industry audit software is preferred. Compensation is per billable hour with a range of $33.50-$38.50, and contractors provide their own taxes and expenses.
Required Qualifications
- Residence in or near Fort Myers or Sarasota County, FL
- Contractor/1099 engagement
- Ability to travel to on-site audits (up to travel required)
- Experience with collecting data from insured businesses
- Ability to schedule and conduct remote audit interviews when applicable
- Proficiency with industry-standard software (e.g., Nexus, Future Audit) preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Experience in insurance audit or related fields preferred
- Professional demeanor and ability to build client relationships
- Independent work ability and data-analysis capability
