Premium Finance Carrier Returns Specialist

Job Summary
Facilitate the collection of return premiums and balances due from insureds, agents and insurance companies through verbal and written correspondence to minimize delinquencies and loan loss. Communicate with insurance carriers, intermediaries, and agents/brokers to verify information, pursue collection activities on assigned portfolios, respond to inquiries, and support internal sales/marketing on losses and delinquencies. Review and decide on handling of assigned accounts, recognize warning signs of fraud/non-compliance, perform agent portfolio audits, calculate payoffs and refunds, and provide guidance to staff on collection matters. This role requires high school education, 3+ years in premium finance/collections, strong communication, organizational and analytical abilities, and occasional travel. Desired skills include familiarity with insurance industry workflows, ability to work independently, and proficiency with common computer applications.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Three years of premium finance experience
- Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
