Job Summary
Premium Auditor position (Hybrid) based from home with daily travel to audit locations in the Lansing, MI area. Conduct insurance premium audits for Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, and Automobile policies by auditing policyholder records, applying manual rules and company standards. Prepare necessary information, schedule audits efficiently, and communicate results to insured via phone, email, or mail as well as to the home office. Travel to multiple audit locations (average 2-4 days per week). Prepare complete audit documents, explain results, and liaise with the insured. Requires Associate’s degree or equivalent with two years’ premium auditing experience (or equivalent), strong financial document interpretation, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, familiarity with Visual Audit a plus, and a valid driver’s license with adequate auto insurance. FT and PT positions available; benefits include 401(k) with company matching, PTO, holidays, health/dental/vision/life/disability coverage. Compensation: $45-$48 billable hour.”,
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent plus two years’ performing premium audits or equivalent combination of education and experience highly desired
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial documents
- General PC knowledge including Microsoft Excel and Word
- Knowledge of Visual Audit is a plus
- Ability to communicate well with customers and staff
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- Maintain automobile insurance while employed with bodily injury limits equal to or greater than $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident or $300,000 combined
