Job Summary
Investigate, evaluate, and adjust liability claims from assignment through closure, handling premises liability, bodily injury, and property damage cases within a dedicated national hospitality account. Conduct thorough investigations to analyze coverage, damages, and exposure while establishing reserves and negotiating settlements with claimants, attorneys, and authorized representatives. Manage an inventory of approximately 130 files, coordinate with defense counsel for litigated cases, and prepare reserve recommendations and file summaries. Authorize payments within authority levels and maintain accurate diary management and documentation. This role requires a 5+ year liability claims background, an active adjuster license, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment with a 7.5-hour flexible schedule.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of liability claims handling experience
- Active Adjuster License or Designated Home State (DHS) License
- Experience managing claims from investigation through resolution
- Experience handling: Premises Liability Claims
- Experience handling: Bodily Injury Claims
- Experience handling: Property Damage Claims
- Strong liability investigation and claim evaluation skills
- Experience establishing reserves and negotiating settlements
- Ability to independently manage a claim inventory of approximately 130 files
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service and relationship management abilities
- Strong diary management, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Reliable attendance during established business hours
Desired Qualifications
- Hospitality claims experience
- Premises liability expertise within hotels, resorts, restaurants, entertainment venues, or guest-facing operations
- Litigation management experience
- Experience working directly with defense counsel
- Multi-jurisdiction claims experience
- Experience handling claims in one or more of the following jurisdictions: Louisiana, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Colorado, Missouri, Mississippi, Ohio
- Prior TPA experience
- Additional active adjuster licenses
