Job Summary
Investigate, evaluate, and adjust liability claims from assignment through closure for a dedicated national hospitality account, focusing on premises liability, bodily injury, and property damage. Conduct thorough investigations analyzing coverage, damages, and exposure while reviewing medical records, invoices, and legal documentation to establish and maintain appropriate reserves. Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys, manage litigated files, and pursue subrogation opportunities. Coordinate communications with clients, vendors, and defense counsel, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and client-specific handling requirements while maintaining accurate diary management. Manage an inventory of approximately 130 files independently in a remote environment with a 7.5-hour workday.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of liability claims handling experience
- Active Adjuster License or Designated Home State (DHS) License
- Experience managing claims from investigation through resolution
- Experience handling: Premises Liability Claims
- Experience handling: Bodily Injury Claims
- Experience handling: Property Damage Claims
- Strong liability investigation and claim evaluation skills
- Experience establishing reserves and negotiating settlements
- Ability to independently manage a claim inventory of approximately 130 files
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service and relationship management abilities
- Strong diary management, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Reliable attendance during established business hours
Desired Qualifications
- Hospitality claims experience
- Premises liability expertise within hotels, resorts, restaurants, entertainment venues, or guest-facing operations
- Litigation management experience
- Experience working directly with defense counsel
- Multi-jurisdiction claims experience
- Experience handling claims in one or more of the following jurisdictions: Louisiana, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Colorado, Missouri, Mississippi, Ohio
- Prior TPA experience
- Additional active adjuster licenses
