Job Summary
Manage a portfolio of mass affluent clients as the primary relationship manager, delivering personalized service across banking, mortgage, planning, investments, and insurance. Develop and deepen relationships by utilizing objective financial planning concepts to provide integrated retail solutions and leverage the Truist referral network for client acquisition. Establish and update understanding of client financial needs through sound profiling and analysis, while proactively working with investment advisors to ensure adherence to asset allocation objectives. Meet revenue growth, profitability, and retention goals by developing new clients, expanding services, and maintaining accurate sales activity and pipeline data within the bank's contact management system. Collaborate closely with internal IRM partners and external centers of influence to ensure a seamless approach to client portfolio development while operating within the existing audit, compliance, and regulatory framework.
Required Qualifications
- English language fluency
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in business, accounting, finance, banking or equivalent financial services experience and related training
- Minimum of five years of financial services experience working with clients dealing with banking, investments, and/or retail lending
- Advanced knowledge of a broad range of personal financial planning/advisory/insurance and investment management/asset allocation concepts
- Understanding of retail credit and traditional retail bank products for the mass affluent market
- Active Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) license
- Active FINRA Series 7 license
- Active FINRA Series 66 license (or Series 63 and 65 in lieu of 66)
- Applicable Insurance licenses (Life, Health, and Variable)
- SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliance
- NMLS acceptable background check
- Strong interpersonal, sales and relationship management skills
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in business, accounting, finance, or banking
- Mass Affluent Banking experience
- Completion or enrollment in professional level certification programs (preference in rank order): Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Accredited Asset Management Specialist AAMS, Certified Trust and Financial Advisor CTFA, Chartered Life Underwriter CLU, CRPC, or ChFC
- Completion of Leadership Development Program or Banking School such as Truist Leadership Development Program or Banking School
