Job Summary
PreMatch Technician in manufacturing responsible for color matching and ink formulation tasks. Responsibilities include maintaining production by matching ink for orders, producing mid-run ink additions, verifying weights/contents for quality, conducting in-process batch color matching, documenting process events, approving batches for printing, and inputting ink mix formulations into a color computer. Skills highlighted include strong attention to detail, effective communication with team, ability to lift 40+ pounds, forklift certification potential, basic computer skills, and preferred vocational machine-shop training or prior related experience. Shift is Monday–Friday 7:00 PM–7:00 AM with possible schedule adjustments; location is Interprint, Inc. in Pittsfield, MA with nearby service areas in Lee, MA; Westfield, MA; Troy, NY and Albany, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 to apply
- Capable of obtaining forklift certification
- Demonstrates the ability to distinguish colors for accurate color matching
- Possesses strong mechanical aptitude
- Proficient in basic computer skills
- A qualified PreMatch Technician will be able to perform the following tasks to include but not limited to: Maintain Production by matching ink for production orders; Produce mid-run ink additions; Maintain Quality Standards by verifying weight and contents of inks; Conduct in-process batch color matching; Document all process events; Approve batch for printing operation; Input ink mix formulations into color computer; Provide all necessary information to replacement shift
- Vocational training in a machine shop is preferred
- Prior experience in a similar role or industry is preferred
- Maintain Production by matching ink for production orders (repeated in responsibilities)
