Prekindergarten Teacher

Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill district curriculum requirements, preparing activities with accommodations for individual student differences. Conduct ongoing assessments of student learning styles and achievement through formal and informal testing to guide instructional strategies. Manage student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct while creating a classroom environment conducive to physical, social, and emotional development. Work cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula for students with Individual Education Plans and assign work to instructional aides. Establish professional relationships with parents, students, colleagues, and community members, and assume responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned. Requires a Bachelor's degree, valid Texas teaching certificate, and one year of student teaching experience.
