Job Summary
Work alongside a lead classroom teacher to ensure scholars enjoy a classroom culture of high academic and behavioral standards. Create an inclusive community by engaging in training and dialogue around race and identity. Collaborate to plan and prepare for the implementation of a research-based curriculum, sharing whole-group teaching responsibilities. Assist in developing assessment data to refine curricula and facilitate differentiated learning activities through small group and one-on-one instruction. Maintain strong relationships with scholars, families, and colleagues through effective communication. Supervise scholars using the bathroom, including changing diapers and assisting with clothing changes after accidents. Continuously improve professional practice through weekly coaching sessions, professional development, and collaborative, data-driven reflection with department and grade-level teams. Encourage social and emotional health through active communication with the scholar support team. Foster active citizenship through age-appropriate conversations on current events, community service, and celebrations of culture and heritage. Engage in whole-school events including transitions, family conferences, and tutoring.

- Must be able to supervise and assist scholars using the bathroom, including changing diapers for scholars still in diapers and assisting scholars in changing their clothes after bathroom accidents.
