Job Summary
Develop fun and creative lesson plans for three-year-olds using storytelling and educational play to teach shapes, numbers, and colors. Observe each child to build social competencies and self-esteem while encouraging peer interaction and conflict resolution. Guide artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum, assist with potty training if needed, and maintain a clean, safe classroom. Track progress and report to parents, communicating regularly to understand each child's background. Collaborate with other educators to support the class environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a licensed childcare facility
- Child development courses through an accredited college and/or EQIT/Pyramid Plus courses and/or a Level 2 or higher in the PDIS credential system
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to act as a mediator between children
- Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
- Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
