Job Summary
PreK Teacher at St. Ambrose Catholic School (Full-time contract). Responsible for developing and administering curriculum aligned with Archdiocesan standards, conducting ongoing assessment, and providing differentiated instruction for pre-kindergarten students. Duties include planning lessons, maintaining student records, administering standardized tests, promoting digital citizenship, engaging parents, and ensuring a safe, supportive classroom environment. Must have a Bachelor's degree, Texas State Teaching Certification, and a current Catechist Certificate or progress toward one; able to teach both in-person and remotely; participate in professional development and collaborate with faculty. Requires strong interpersonal skills, adherence to Catholic school philosophy, and ability to manage both individual and small-group instruction within compliance of applicable laws and school policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Texas State Teaching Certification
- Criminal background check clearance
- Safe Haven child abuse awareness training
- Current Catechist Certificate or working towards one
- Ability to handle both face-to-face teaching and remote online teaching
