Job Summary
Assist the Pre-Kindergarten teacher with classroom organization, management, and instruction development. Prepare educational materials, reinforce learning objectives individually or in small groups, and support daily routines including supply distribution, attendance records, and lunchroom duties. Monitor recess and hallways, manage bus duties, and maintain learning centers. Adhere to Georgia Pre-Kindergarten program guidelines and Bright From the Start requirements. Work under general supervision of instructional staff in a classroom environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment
- Technical Certificate of Credit in Early Childhood Education
- Associate's Degree or higher at a GaPSC accepted accredited institution
- Must meet Bright From the Start requirements
- 0 - 1 year of experience
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to lift and carry 30-50 pounds with assistance
- Ability to push or pull a maximum of 50 pounds
