PreK Classroom Teacher

PreK Classroom Teacher responsible for developing and administering an elementary curriculum aligned with district goals, creating a safe and supportive learning environment for individualized and small group instruction, preparing and implementing lesson plans, assessing student progress, differentiating instruction for diverse learners including students with special needs, promoting responsible citizenship, maintaining accurate records and reporting, engaging with parents, ensuring classroom conduct adheres to school policies, collaborating with elementary staff, selecting instructional materials, supervising activities outside the classroom, administering standardized tests, and performing related duties as assigned. Requires knowledge of current teaching methods and curriculum, ability to communicate effectively with students and parents, organizational skills, proficiency with computer systems, and certification as specified by the Tennessee Department of Education. The position is exempt under FLSA and located at Northwest Elementary School within Cocke County School System.
