Job Summary
Create a safe, respectful learning environment with clear routines for PreK-5 students with autism diagnoses. Daily application of Applied Behavior Analysis principles, plan and facilitate lessons aligned with State Standards, and implement IEP accommodations while collecting data on academic, behavioral, and social progress. Collaborate with general education teachers, ancillary service providers, and paraprofessionals to support whole-child approaches, social skills instruction, and communication development. Follow individual behavior support plans, execute de-escalation procedures, and maintain two-way culturally responsive communication with parents. Participate in Team meetings to report student progress and propose programming adjustments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Education/Special Education
- MA Licensure-PreK-8 Moderate Special Needs or Severe Special Needs
- SEI Endorsement
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- 3 years of experience working with students with Autism or developmental disabilities
- Experience in applying the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
