Job Summary

Lead preconstruction teams on CMGC, CMAR, Design-Build, and Bid-Build projects by managing project pursuit strategy, owner coordination, and estimate development. Direct review and validation of estimates, lead value engineering and risk workshops, and facilitate design reviews and constructability assessments. Develop and maintain preconstruction schedules, coordinate operations and engineering resources, and support GMP negotiations and owner presentations. Prepare executive-level reports on budget, schedule, and risk, and participate in project turnover to construction operations. Requires a BS in Civil Engineering or related field with ten years of progressive heavy civil project experience.

Required Qualifications

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Ten (10) years of progressive project experience in heavy civil environments
  • Five (5) years of experience leading preconstruction or alternative delivery projects
  • Experience with highways, bridges, transit, water, aviation, or large infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of estimating, scheduling, risk management, and constructability reviews
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and maintain client relationships
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Excellent supervisory communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to abide by Granite's Code of Conduct daily
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Close vision
  • Ability to adjust focus
