Job Summary
Renovations Preconstruction Manager to oversee activities during the preconstruction phase of national renovation programs, providing back-office support during construction and post-renovations. Key duties include FFE takeoffs and coordination with Design and Procurement, site surveys and data export for takeoffs, room type identification and room-matrix creation, development of site-specific scopes of work and budgets, managing the General Contractor bid process with multiple proposals, and coordinating project milestones and closeout documentation. Requires strong coordination across Design, Procurement, Legal, and Operations, with a meticulous, data-driven approach and advanced Excel skills.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of construction experience in multifamily housing or hospitality
- 5 years of experience in construction and renovation estimating
- 3 years of multi-site field and/or project management experience
- Ability to read and understand construction documents and plans and develop accurate scopes of work based on design intent
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and balance multiple daily responsibilities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
- Strong organizational, communication, and people skills
- Collaborator who is willing to pitch in and support others
- Lead meetings, presentations, and project groups
- Detail-oriented data-driven approach
- Familiarity with all phases of the construction lifecycle
