Job Summary
Lead the full preconstruction process from concept through contract execution, oversee and develop conceptual to design-build estimates across multiple commercial sectors, and drive procurement strategies. Partner with Owners, Architects, and internal leadership to define project scope, budget strategies, and delivery approach. Review drawings and specifications to identify risks and cost drivers; direct quantity take-offs, cost modelling, and estimate development for accuracy and consistency. Develop bidding strategies, trade partner outreach, and procurement schedules; lead subcontractor solicitation, bid evaluation, scope levelling, and award recommendations. Facilitate pre-bid meetings and site visits; collaborate on preliminary scheduling and logistics; provide leadership during value engineering and alternate solution analysis. Maintain historical cost data and estimating systems; support client presentations and proposals; mentor estimators and preconstruction staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience leading preconstruction services and bid processes
